So what's the best way to find a reliable source? I'm a bit tired of paying for 'vitamin e' and getting speed...
And yeah, I know, I could be a dea agent, an RCMP undercover guy, or whatever.
But I'm not.

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Wed, January 2, 2008 - 7:45 PMLink up with your local burner community. There's a reasonable chance that there will be a responsible, trustworthy supplier somewhere there who may be able to set you up.
Definitely get recommendations from people about the "goodness" of the supplier, and when you find a good source, stock up. -

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Wed, January 16, 2008 - 6:08 PMMy testing kit from dancesafe.org just showed up, and according to the tests, what was sold to me as mdma, was in fact.....mdma!
Hurrah!
More interestingly, to me, is that (according to the marquis reagent) it contains no amphetamine nor methamphetamine. I think that's kind of a surprize, because I thought it was almost normal to cut mdma with a bit of speed to smooth it out.
The mdma was provided as a brownish/creamish irregular grained powder. some of the flecks are much lighter than the others.
I am working on the theory that a small amount of mdma was ground and mixed with something inert.
Anyone have any comments?
The stuff was quite nice, though a lot less intense that some stuff I picked up at shambhala last summer. -

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 10:30 PMHi I worked in DanceSafe for seven years. Remember that the testing kits do not detect strength or dosage. So if the Marquis didn't detect any colors for meth or amphetamine, then according to the test, no your pill shouldn't have any speed in it. However, if a color turns up positive for MDMA (which within the context of the test also includes MDA or MDE) then that means your pill contains some MDMA/MDA/MDE but it doesn't tell you how much. And also none of this factors in OTHER substances that aren't part of the color chart. So it's possible your pill contains a small amount of MDMA/MDA/MDE and some amount of some other chemical though the test can't necessarily detect it if it's not on the color chart. -

Fri, January 18, 2008 - 4:42 AMYeah, it's a shame there is no way to test for strength...I assume that would take a LOT more technology? -

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Sat, January 19, 2008 - 10:42 PMecstasydata.org is the lab screening program we helped run for years. That's the closest thing we've got. It gives you total mg content and if there are multiple substances, it will break down the ratio. But it doesn't account for filler content, so even with this you don't know specific strength. -

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 1:31 PMBelieve it or not, it is against the law for ecstasydata.org to report how much of each material was found in each sample. They can only report the ranking of included substances, e.g. if a pill is 51% MDMA and 49% caffeine they can only say MDMA and caffeine.

But their funding might've stopped, so you might have to pay for the test, assuming the lab is even still operating. Just check the site and contact them. Good luck!! -

Re: advice on finding a reliable source
Tue, January 29, 2008 - 2:33 PMFrom the Ecstasydata website:
"If you would like to pay the entire lab fee of $120 USD per tablet, you can still have a pill tested. This entire fee goes to the laboratory for testing. Management and administration time is donated by Erowid, Dancesafe and MAPS to support the testing project. Test results will still be published here on EcstasyData.org."
